Then join Future Bayswater for only $20 per year!
Future Bayswater (FuBa) was formed in 2015 and became officially incorporated in late 2018 as an independent not-for profit group whose members are local community people. FuBa is self-funded, as well as in receipt of a few community grants and in-kind/volunteer support.
Future Bayswater is not affiliated with any political party, developers, government agency or businesses.
The Constitution
The organisation’s purposes are clearly stated in its constitution which in summary are:
* To advocate for and defend responsible, evidence-based, well-designed town and transport planning and infrastructure development in the Bayswater and Meltham town centres and surrounding areas, which:
o increase vibrancy, prosperity and encourage more people to live in the area
o improve accessibility for residents and visitors by any mode of transport
o enable more businesses to profitably trade in the town centres
o provide attractive green spaces and land/tree-scaping to benefit the community
o promote high-quality liveable developments that offer housing choices for all ages
o make better use of under-developed land.
* To foster local community spirit and a shared vision for the area’s future.
* To initiate a range of actions and advocate for investment (public or private) to achieve the above.
What can you expect as a member?
* You will meet like-minded, interesting, fun and supportive people and be part of an active and award-winning community group.
* You will have the opportunity to provide support in whatever form you wish, to achieve FuBa’s purpose. Any support will be greatly appreciated.
* You will be kept regularly informed of FuBa’s activities and events by email, including via a secure ‘MailChimp’ software email distribution list for larger ‘mailouts’.
* You will be able to vote at the AGM and nominate to be on FuBa’s Management Committee.
